There are endless and countless recipes for chocolate chip cookies out there on the internet. Most variations depend on your preferences, such as butter consistency, amount of eggs used, and the amount of flour.

Regardless of the recipe you follow, here are simple additions that can take your go to recipe to the next level:

1- Cocoa Butter: This is on the fancier side, but it makes a difference for those looking for the extra oomph and flavour. I typically use regular butter and add about 6 to 10 grams of melted cocoa butter.

2- Espresso or Nescafé Shots: Adding a shot of coffee enhances the richness of your cookies. It's a quick step that's often forgotten.

3-  Browned Butter: If your recipe calls for melted butter, then browning it will be the cherry on top when it comes to flavour and richness.

4- Good Quality Chips: I find that chopping up chocolate bars of preference tastes far better than your good ol'chocolate chips. Sometimes, I do a mixture of both for a nice balance.

5- Chilling the Dough: This may sound simple, but many people skip this step. For maximum flavour, chill the dough overnight.

Adding sea salt to the surface of the cookies isn’t included in this list because it should be a must.

Yalla, bake your cookies and let me know how they turn out!
